Liam stretched languidly, the sun hitting his back as he lounged on his bed. The weekend stretched before him, an endless expanse of freedom. He flipped open his laptop, intending to finally start that video game he’d been meaning to try. A new follow notification blinked on his Instagram. He absentmindedly tapped it.

"Mr. Davies followed you." Liam frowned, his relaxed posture stiffening slightly. Mr. Davies, his math teacher, a man known for his stern demeanor and even sterner grading. He cautiously clicked on the profile, confirming the unsettling truth. He almost closed the app, then thought, "I should probably check if he is following all of my classmates, right?" He scrolled through the few posts, finding nothing concerning, and then he closed the app. He picked up his controller and went back to his game.
